The analysts that have been following the semiconductor companies in the last year have not been very successful in my opinion. They have been focused on how the industry is contracting and what companies will survive, not on what companies have up and coming technology. The companies that are interested in the future technology of the semiconductor capital equipment makers can not really talk about JMAR because its market cap is too small, in my opinion. It is not a question of revenue or earnings just market cap. Just look at Rambus or some of the Internet companies, which are only slightly larger companies than JMAR but have many times the market CAP of JMAR. Analysts can publish recommendation on these companies because if they say something about them the stock will not react as greatly because of the higher market cap. Whereas if a large brokerage comments on JMAR they could possible double or triple the stock in an afternoon.

However, these companies are clearly interested in JMAR, just listen to the conference call JMAR had, their were large brokerages on the call trying to get more familiar with the company. If they were not interested in the technology they would not have participated in the call, they could have gotten all the information they need from a private call to the company. This was in my opinion there way of saying were here and we are watching what you are doing and we are willing to left other know we are out here looking at you.

Otherwise why wouldn't they have called the company privately. So the fact that only one company is following JMAR according to some report is no big deal, and it is probably Red Chip anyway which is waiting for the S.E. Asia crisis to turn around. They have always valued the company based on the disk drive inspection systems and not the other technologies or R&D that JMAR does, from what I can tell.

Once BrightLight get out there and XRL starts making chips on a regular basis the stock will start moving up and the brokerages will start publishing opinions, until then take heart that they are here watching but yet responding on the conference calls.
