Annette,
If you are expecting great things from NAVR, that can only occur from an IPO. NAVR has never proven they can make a consistent profit in their core business.. Eric Paulson is a decent, honest guy (I've met him a couple of times), but I will buy the stock again only when they can prove that their business is profitable. Gambling on an IPO is too rich for my blood.

Even the Dell board has their characters, but at least they admit if they are a short. I don't know about this board though, some of the recommendations make me nervous....

I agree, This is still a twilight zone thread. I still don't know who to trust.
I'm waiting for some of the real talented heavy analytical hitters like I've seen elsewhere on SI to come on over. The fact that I don,t see any yet bothers me. This thread still has a bit of a yahoo flavor too it.

<I don't know what other threads you read/participate in, Annette, but there are threads
on SI where people do their best to give honest assessments and share factual
information on a stock. If some of the characters hanging out here to hype tried their
games on these threads they would be chased away.>

I often consider two factors when attempting to determine how speculative a stock is:

1. Volume of SI posts on the stock
2. % of those posts containing useful information as opposed to hype, lies, unfounded rumors, and meaningless cheerleading/badmouthing.

Using this criteria, clearly NAVR is a very speculative stock. Those of us who are long at this price are probably long because we are "speculating" that the NetRadio ipo will indeed take place, and within a "reasonable" timeframe. Those of us who are short are short because we are "speculating" that the NetRadio ipo will not take place, or will be postponed enough to allow for a further drop is the stock price.

I am a long who finds waiting until 2/1 for the ipo as acceptable to me, but expects that the stock will dip further in the meantime.

Such is life when trading/investing in speculative stocks.
