Bob,

Any news from the CC? I didn't have a chance to listen to it yet.

Bob - Re: " If Brian didn't say "uh" so much, it would have
been OK. That's a hard public speaking habit to break. I've done it."

He doesn't do this when he is upbeat and confident.

When he's nervous, dodging and evasive, he mumbles and says "uh" over and over again, searching for words - trying to keep from sounding insecure - all the while sounding very insecure.

Robert,

Regarding the stupid responses.......I know but what would the threads be without the Intel BUFFOONS.

As far as the conference call I though it was very positive. Clearly they had told the analysts to expect a (0.49) loss and were expecting kudo's for a much smaller loss. I think the IBM issue was explained very well. I was also pleased that the MII 350/366 are on their way and this in the 0.25 micron. So PR 400-450's may well be credible in Q2 99 in their 0.18 micron.

The big disapointment was lack of status on the new products such as MXi. He certainly avoided giving any meaningfull stats on it's status and that of the 0.18 micron.

As far as the public speaking, I think there were a lot more er...er.. than uh...uh if you see what I mean.

ACtually Halla speaks very well, but it seemed to me he was trying very hard not to oversell like last quarter and be very carefull with what he said.

Regards,

Kash.

Can anyone guess how much it cost's Intel to make a Celeron -A 300 MHZ ? Are they selling them at no profit to kill the competition , or are they making a profit ? JK
