Well, I own MEMC (you want to know what pain feels like) and their management launched a stock buyback at 14 thinking that was the bottom. It went on down to 2.5. So management does not always get the bottom. However, the fact that they are buying does indicate faith.

I just think that a lot of people are going to wait until January when same store sales come out. After all, there's not a lot of difference in buying at 13 or 17 if you are a long term holder waiting for it to go to 60.

insiders traditionally know value, and these insiders are very savvy investors based on their previous actions. but what insiders are not particularly good at is timing their purchases. these guys are getting in at good prices, and are looking for a turnaround sometime in the future.
