The Comdisco deal sounds legitimate.

I am short CYOE and most of the story sounds like a scam. But, Comdisco often does venture leasing where they get warrants as well as the lease. Many of the top venture capitalists get Comdisco to venture lease their deals to limit capital requirements. So, while I think it likely Comdisco has been scammed, it is very unlikely they are a knowing participant.

My guess is that the Comdisco deal was a con to raise more money for Coyote operations, while giving the appearance of real sales. Comdisco probably did very limited due diligence as they were secured by the lease.

Just my opinion. I have no other source than the TSC articles and previous VC experience with Comdisco.
