AAPL & Y2K

>We may not have got everything right, but at least we knew the
century was going to end.<

According to Information Week, the tab for the Year 2000 software fix
alone will hit $600 billion. That's enough to buy 461,893,764 iMacs at
$1299 each. (Although if you place such a large order, you should
probably demand a discount.)

SlideRule,

This morning, there are 9524 contracts open for the Dec'98 AAPL 37.5 PUTs.

During the week of 11/25 to 12/02 the AAPL Dec'98 $37.5 PUT contract OI increased from 665 to 9734 contracts. This volume is helping to peg the Max-Pain&#153 for Dec'98 to $37.5.

All other things being held where they are, it would need the 37.5 PUT OI to decline to less than 2500 open contracts to cause the Max-Pain Point&#153 to move down to $35.
