$550 ---- $700 COMPUTERS

3yrs parts/labor --- Hardware looks pretty good, with upgrade availabilty.

Pent II 350 mhz $700
cyberpowerinc.com

Pent Celeron 333a $550
cyberpowerinc.com

Any thoughts on these prices and this company?
Would this be a better alternative to the computer
in my previous post above?

Regards,
S.W.

I am using the eMachines eTower 266 - has a CYRIX 266 and I find it is a better choice than the CELERON...

It is ZIF Socket 7 upgradeable... I just installed an additional 128mb 100mhz SDRAM and I am planning on taking advantage of the socket 7 upgrade path in a few weeks by replacing the CYRIX with a new AMD K6 400Mhz... It should work at least twice as fast as it does now - not that it is presently slow by any means...

I took out the internal 56k PCI modem and replaced that with an external ZOOM v.90 modem. Fast.

I installed an IOMEGA BUZ card in the slot freed up by the modem offload - now I have VIDEO in AND out! Full screen resolution too!

I am overall very pleased with my eT266, 2Gig HD, 160mb RAM, v90 modem... I am running the video at 1024 resolution - no problem... The manual says that the video card can do 8mb (borrowed from system RAM I believe...)

My next goal is to figure out how to tell the video card to use 8mb instead of just 4mb...

ANY INPUT on this???
