>>The company recognized $250,270 in revenue during the first quarter for
remote sensing services performed on behalf of the Noranda Group in Australia
and Mexico. The Company recorded $8,000 as unearned revenue when it received
payment from NASA-MSU Techlink for remote sensing services to begin early in the
second quarter of fiscal 1999.<<

What do you think the remote sensing project for Nasa-Msu Techlink is worth? We are now in 3rdQ.

Queenstake Resources and Alamos Minerals: Drilling Begins At Guinoloza (Formerly Yecorato 51) Mexico
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Queenstake and Alamos are pleased to announce the commencement of a four-hole, 1000-meter drilling program on the Guinoloza property (formerly called the Yecorato 51) in Chihuahua, Mexico. Guinoloza is surrounded by concessi ons held by Francisco Gold, the discoverers of the El Sauzal gold deposit two kilometers east of the Guinoloza property boundary. Francisco Gold reports that El Sauzal contains an estimated resource of 3.59 million ounces of gold at 2.21 grams per tonne
with a mineable reserve of 2.26 million ounces of gold at 2.98 grams per tonne.

The anomaly on the 1,850 hectare Guinoloza property was identified in 1994 using remote sensing satellite imagery and was staked by Minera Vulcan, a company owned 60 percent by Queenstake and 40 percent by Alamos.

Alamos will initially mine ultra high-grade polymetallic ore from the
uppermost levels (12 through 15). This ore, with grades up to 4 kilograms
per metric tonne silver, and combined lead and zinc of 28 per cent, is
suitable for direct shipping to Noranda's Refimet refinery in northern
Chile.
The latter has recently completed a technical evaluation of the
mine.

That area of the world seems to be the new area of congregation. I found this item that relates to the South American region and mining:

Post says Barrick bid could boost other juniors

See Argentina Gold Corp (ARP) In the News
The Financial Post reports in its Friday edition that Barrick Gold's
takeover bid for Argentina Gold could revive investor interest in other junior mining companies exploring in Argentina, all of which are suffering from depressed share values. Reporter John Schreiner notes that in his market commentary on Thursday, Canaccord Capital analyst Andrew Muir says that this takeover offer is a tremendous boost for the junior exploration market. Mr. Muir says it confirms the blue-sky potential of mineral discoveries to provide a home run for speculative investors. He says this takeover will boost the market caps of exploration companies in Argentina. Mr. Schreiner says that all of the juniors working in Argentina could use a lift to market value. Linda Thorstad, a vice-president at Viceroy Resource, says it will draw great attention to Argentina as a whole. Newsletter writer John Kaiser says that Chile, Peru and Argentina has become "the frontier" to which Canadian juniors are retreating after disappointing investors with forays into Indonesia and Africa.
