Nihil It's not tax fraud since you pay taxes on the excess profits generated. Effectively, what you to is prepay tax based on earnings, then take a "one time credit", and write down the inventory. The inventory prices are not "puffed up", they remain at reasonable levels for the prior quarter, and are then adjusted in the following one. WRT Microsoft - Yes. WRT CPQ - I don't have an opinion. WRT INTC compensation, Yes - but it won't happen till 1Q '99. I doubt that INTC has 6 week turnaround time. If you can document that it might be sufficient to "turnaround" my opinion of INTC. tgptndr, signing off for the evening
