Exactly. When a stock spikes like NAVR, there usually isn't enough to go around. So market makers create stock by shorting it. If it continues to go up, they lose money. So they cover when it goes down. They probably shorted a lot of stock on the run to 27.

Also, they can take on inventory if they think it will go up and sell it us later for more.

The MMs game is simple, they move the price up to sell or sell short, after that they will move the price down to buy or cover short ...

they are using whatever news as an alibi for the move ...
