The thing about Oracle's management over the past several years is that they have the 1-2 team in place to get things done. Larry is a true visionary, no matter how you slice it. He was the first to get behind SQL. Right on the money. Commit (no pun intended, fellow developers) Oracle to platform independence and scalability. Also right on target. He says "the internet changes everything", I'm right there with him. Ray Lane is the go to guy who executes. I didn't quite get how good he was at it, especially with the junk that the marketing people scripted for him at the 8i launch. I came away from yesterday's NY Oracle Users Group meeting much more impressed. I have no doubts that the posts from Oracle employees tonight about how he comes in and makes things happen are pretty accurate (Hardly where are you?). I'll cheerlead here for a bit, then get back to work. I sure hope that reinstalling the Oracle Reports server solved my problems. The Oracle Support Aussies are nice, but I really don't want to talk to them tonight.
