Jfred,

I was only half listening to the report on TV. Where and on which freeway(s) did that happen? I guess I could go read the online LA Times for an answer.

As I recall, the Santa Anas would bring the asthmatics out en force with industrial-strength asthma attacks.

Next, we'll get a report that the air in the LA basin is cleaner than it has been in 50 years, and everyone will forget the Santa Ana winds and the part they play in this annual air cleansing. The only explanation for this phenomenon would be a colossal epidemic of short-term memory failure, a collective disease process which I believe began during the time when Jerry Brown was our governor.

Holly

See! This La Nina goddess is nothing but a tease. Sends a little bit of winter powder our way and then poof! Reverses the jet stream, and brings on this blah fair weather and blows a few trucks over, just when we are getting into the ol' Nino of it. MIght as well be summer.
