They've got to place the blame somewhere...I'd find it hard to believe that these utilities would fly blindly into the teeth of this thing next year. They would be crazy not to test their systems on some level, and the only way to do that is to shut down. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I don't think the government and the powers that be want to let on just how concerned they are about the problem. You know they are planning martial law just in case. You have a point on the first score. The best place to be will probably be some friendly banana republic. No worries about freezing, plenty of food on the trees and no machines!
