I can't answer it either. Perhaps shareholders don't trust management. The Kebbles have said that they want the proceeds of the sale for projects outside of SAf. In other words, that could be interpreted as they have sold out. They are taking their money and running.

On the other hand, the price could simply have been manipulated downwards in order to shake-out weak holders, particularly at a time of POG uncertainty.

In addition, the problem could be general to the market. The whole JSE is very weak at this time. And so is the Rand. Reasons are related more to lack of confidence in the economy of SAf, itself, rather than wars in far away places.
