Im almost certain this is incorrect, at least in the situations I am familiar with. Taking no action will assure that you are not a party to the theft. For anyone who still has an ounce of conscience left or is not capable of the self-deception necssary to pretend this is not theft from innocent people, please rest assured you do not need to do anything to avoid participating in the theft. Just dont pick up the phone to enlist with the crooks and dont respond if you are solicited for information about your holdings/trading. Or, do as I do, draft a sarcastic letter.
