INSTANT VIEW - Producer Prices, Retail Sales
NEW YORK, Dec 11 (Reuters) - November producer prices were in line with expectations while retail sales were stronger than expected. Stocks were expected to get a boost.

PIERRE ELLIS, SENIOR ECONOMIST, AT PRIMARK DECISION CORP.

''This is a strong consumer spending number which looks quite firm. I would suspect its going to promote some rebound in the stock market.''

"The consumer spending trend looks stronger heading into the fourth quarter. It rules out the chances of a Fed easing. It shows the consumer is willing to buy almost everything in fairly good quantity.

''With producer prices, there's nothing to indicate the worsening of inflation.''
