joe, COMS news has dried up since Siemens/3COM. I don't expect to post

Joe, alpha nt has been around long before Claflin.
Before Claflin the PC unit that bled cash for year was "managed" by Pesatori, now with Tandem, hence Compaq.

Claflin 's last job was Sales&Marketing, essentially re-implementing
the same model of 5-6 years back revamped as "one face to the customer".

They tried it all and screwed it big time. This remark does NOT apply to engineering that has excelled al the time. Yes I believe
Compaq can get it right.
