I have been getting the Kobren letter for years.......lately his Model funds have sucked big time........I have followed some of his obvious advice and made money......a few times , like his real estate hype, I got burned and got out early on......do trade selects but not on his advice alone.....he use to have a select model portfolio but he stopped it because it would usually do lousy.....his letter taught me one thing.....if someone that close to the market can get lousy results what chances do we have as small investors doing this part time?? Answer: BETTER !! IMHO I use the Motley Fool and SI.....the more SI I use the better the results I get . I also use a lot of IBD.......very good info there.
