Sure, Michael. The adulterous papal knight Hyde had no problem defending lying and perjury in another context. But then, it was all over trivial issues like secret wars, arms for hostages, negotiating with terrorists, and a cover up that never ended. Here, we know more than anybody ever wanted to know about some tawdry personal affair, and it's time to bring down the government.

Your sense of proportion in these matters is curious, as is that of the esteemed papal knight. It seems that Hyde is really looking forward to his role in carrying this forward to the Senate, if it goes that way. It's so unfair that people are looking into his past. Looking into Clinton's past, all the way back to when Hyde was doing his adultery thing, that's something different.
