Steve, buy the tech stocks in a nibbling fashion. Forget about the DOW for now. Yes, it could go to 8720, if that's its 200 dma.

I am looking at TI, INTC, & NVLS as trades.

I am encouraged by the positive earnings and more importantly positive response to orcl's earnings this morning.
intc, msft, csco... up.
SOX at 320 looks good.

mrk back up.

bot intc at 116-1/4, nvls at 51, and ti at 80-1/2.

Steve, I was checking today's news. Lots of negatives hit the market: Drop in PacRim/Europe/Brazil markets + KO & AMR warnings + Clinton mess.

Impressive but expected for the DOW to hold above its 200 dma. All kinds of sell signals are generated if the DOW breaks its 200 dma and we cannot have that so close to the year end.
