I guess by now a lot of you have received this spam: From: Muffin Man Friday, Dec 11 1998 1:50PM ET SI Subscriber, As a fellow SI subscriber, I believe that perhaps you and your family, as well as people you, your family or friends know may be interested in this. It is from F. Lynn Blystone, Tri-Valley Corporation, Bakersfield, CA. They have secured leases on fields under which they have targeted approximately 4 billion barrels of oil and 10 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, secondary targets may increase the total to 20 trillion cubic feet. Recently another company hit a natural gas strike that caught fire and burned for 16 days. Steam developed in the well and snuffed out the fire naturally a couple of days ago. However the fire fighting company sent in from Houston, TX is still there to cap this well, which is still spewing a pillar of steam 200 feet into the air. That verifies that pressure (about 15,000 pounds per square inch) is there forcing natural gas and oil to the surface. They still cannot fully approach the spout of steam without shooting flares into it to make sure it is not flammable. This area is evidently full of such reserves. Tri-Valley Corporation has land position and proprietary data regarding this area, having secured the leases on several square miles. The project name is Project Ekho (sic). Direct investments are being accepted by contacting the company; numbers are provided below. Common stock is also available on the OTC:BB Exchange under the ticker symbol TRIL at a current price of 50-60 cents/share. This price will not remain this low for long. Below is the e-mail I just received from Mr. F. Lynn Blystone, President and C.E.O. ================ Subj: Project Ekho time table Date: 12/10/98 10:17:40 AM Pacific Standard Time From: tvc1@lightspeed.net (TRI VALLEY OIL AND GAS) To: cmbateman@aol.com Dear Mr. Bateman: The blowout of the Bellevue No. 1 on the flank of our Project Ekho necessitates our effort to accelerate the project. We are selling working interest points at US$150,000 per point. Some are banding together in groups of ten to buy a point. As a further incentive, for every point we book before 12/31/98, we will award a bonus point or comparable position in our first Nevada test well carried to the tanks. It will be heads-up after that. An Ekho well can run up to $6.5 million to drill and complete so it depends on when we can raise the first tranche as to when we spud. I would hope it would be by late first quarter or early second quarter. The Bellevue blowout is an answer to the question of producible reserves below 15,000 feet since, until the blowout, there has been no commercial production in California below that depth. California has been long overlooked as a big target area and that is changing dramatically today. With over 10.1 billion barrels and over 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas cumulative to date, the South San Joaquin Valley is the production equivalent of Prudhoe Bay. And like Prudhoe Bay, billions of recoverable barrels from existing fields remain. The Bakersfield area produces more than twice as much oil as the State of Oklahoma per day. Huge oil and gas exploration targets remain. We have one ready to go. Very truly yours, F.
