I guess it depends on how you define parity dimms. Before ECC, parity simms usually mean odd/even bit parity (single bit). Now the parity dimms are actually multi-bits so it is no doubt capable to handle error-correction.

Now the next question, so what the difference between the parity dimm and ECC dimm? Or are we really talking about the same thing?

BTW, that ECC is very clever. I must look it up again.
I remember being impressed and delighted when I first
saw it (and that's about ALL I remember <g>).
