Craig, I have just read a story "in Chinese" about IBM's announcement of their storage program "Seascape" in June 1, 1998 at San Jose, CA. The new products announced at a news media meeting include two hardware -- "Versatile Storage Server" and "Enhanced Virtual Tape Server", and one software --"Storwatch", and one connection --"Fibre Channel". Now I know that IBM has two research centers at Almaden and Santa Teresa of San Jose. It makes more sense now me for to see why Ancor open an office in San Jose. They must have got something promising there. I believe Roy knows most of activities. For us small guys, we have to put little pieces together trying to find a clue.
