David, these are devices they do not take as long as drugs. They only need one panel meeting with the FDA device maker panel and xyz cases showing how it works and its safety. Some devices only take 6 to 9 months to go through the entire process. Example of this is CYPB and their Prosorba Column which has only took one year to get to the FDA device panel and will be approved next month after a 60 day period for the panel and recommendation board to meet and talk about it.

David, I have friends who are researchers at Warner Lambert/ Parker Davis. As far as devices go it is about deep pockets to get the R&D on the devices done. Their is approval time but, this time period is considerably less than it is for drugs.
