These Impeachment Proceedings are a perfect example of what happens when a political party gets too much power.

If the American people learn anything from the torment caused by the Republicans it's that too much power corrupts. If the impeachment committee had an even number of Republicans and Democrats, they would be forced to negotiate and come up with a reasonable decision that would be acceptable to most people.

But, the Republicans have majority power, so fair play and constitutional principles go down the toilet.

Addi, I believe that the Republican Party, if it continues to cling to its present intolerant attitudes (anti-minority, anti-women, anti-choice, anti-immigrant, anti- any religion other than Christian) is going to become increasingly irrelevant in the coming years.

The following article sums up the reasons nicely. The Republican supporters on this thread probably don't even have the slightest idea of what it is about, for they had absolutely nothing to say in response! Take a look at it...
