The CCD image sensor is not going to give up its market
share. There will be a big fight.


Hi Steve, I agree with you 100%. I have posted a number of articles on CMOS image sensors on this thread. The beauty of CMOS sensors is that you can integrate the A/D converters and signal processing on the same die as the sensor, resulting in a "single-chip" camera, or a camea with a low chip count. I think that Intel and National have been doing some work in this area, along with others.
