I have no problem Nancy saying God can and will bring them back.

As Romans 11 starts, Paul says " I ask then..." this says to me that he was going on from a prior thought, which of course he was, so I am backing up and reading some other things in chapters 9 and 10.

As a bottom line God will reveal Jesus to them as in Zechariah and they will mourn him bitterly as they accept him as their Lord and King.

It is hard to use one line prophesy from the old testament,IMO for this reason. Look at the following which Paul repeated in Romans the 10th chapter.

27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.

So if we take that one as a bottom line, there will only be some saved, is that true? Who is the remnant?

basicaly God will decide what to do with all people with righteousness and truth so whatever we think does not matter very much.

I can do nothing but agree. as chapter Romans 9 verse 21 says: Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

To tell Israel that the Church has taken all the promises from them when they have done nothing to accomplish it is shallow boasting. I prefer to say that God in his mercy has grafted in the Nations as He promised to Abraham.

The Church as described by scripture, is Christ body. He is the head. I have no room as part of the body to tell ANYONE who will or who won't be saved. This does allow for me to use scripture and say "Thus sayeth the Lord". I ,as part of the body have accomplished NOTHING to deserve His merit or mercy, yet He has given it. And I will pray that all men come to Him.

In Him,

dan
