What makes you think Microsoft is competing in a free market? Bbbut...but Microsoft has been publishing full page adds titled Leave it to the Marketplace in major news papers all over the country, quoting all sorts of experts how the government should leave them alone and the market will take care of the whole thing better. I'm just trying to make sense of it all <G>. BTW, have you found a way to update your Win98 (as I'm sure a fine product by Microsoft will need at least a dozen times) without having to use Microsofts' "automated and intelligent" update button? (yet another fine example of how Microsoft selflessly has your best interest at heart). Not that I don't trust a good corporate citizen like Microsoft, but I get nervous when a program decides to scan and analyze my system and report the results to some (even one as responsible and benevolent as the fine folks at Redmond, WA) so that they can decide based on my set up what patches and updates I need.
