Could I make a few comments? I usually just lurk on SI, but finally after months of being an observer, I sent my check in so I can leave messages.

I just do not understand DELL some days. Today, it was left in the dust by the other PC makers...including(omigosh) APPLE!!!! Has Dell lost their edge in the market?

I know, I know....I have seen every excuse in the book to explain why Dell is doing this or that..."The MMs are holding it down to this price" "There was a bad article in the WSJ" "The money is in the internet stocks, but it will be back ANY DAY now!"

My angle is that DELL should just stick to the business market, because other box makers have their products on the shelf. Shopping in the internet is still an infant...the majority still shop in stores, where they can see, touch and immediately take home their purchases. I'm not a nobody that is not aware is what is going on around me. I am a graphic arts student, and I can't believe it when I tell other students that I have stock in DELL, and they say they never heard of them! However, they know Gateway and Compaq.

Dell should stick to the high end PCs and leave the IMac to the computer illiterates.

It is so frustrating to believe in DELL and see the analysts trash the company and punish it because it can't raise the dead come earnings time. All I can say is GO DELL...may it's dust choke the anal-ysts when the train takes off!
