HC,

<<I am not convinced the early morning rally is for real. Looks like a bear trap to me so far. IMHO, the market will drop off this afternoon, especiaslly the NSDQ.>>

<<we may see 8200 IMHO by year's end.>>

Wrong on the first count and on the second count a question: What is your prediction based on? Or is it really just some hip slinging, wannabe analyst, poppycock? Do you know what you are predicting? The end of the year is 20 days away. How short are you? I think you found the wrong thread to sling it around on. Most of the posters here are seasoned market watchers.

<<Yep- the market is going to hurt from this recent political shing ding. >>

I disagree...its a non event long term...the market may react poorly the end of this week when the actual vote comes down in the house but the reality is the Senate won't convict him and everyone knows that...it ends up being nothing but bad history for poor Bill and he can't stand that he'll be linked to Johnson and Nixon as the three impeached amigos....

<<Add that to year end selling pressures and we may see 8200 IMHO by
year's end.>>

Ya but were's the NAS going to be? (you better watch it closely relative to SEG and tech performance)....I also disagree here...my view is year end selling pressure will be much less than earlier anticipated...tax loss selling greatly reduced as most positions are back above water....add the very strong tech sector into the mix and I see SEG very strong into Jan. earnings (I'm also not sure that you having the Jan. vs Dec puts is an advantage...you paid more for them, your premium will start to peal off as we get to less than 30 days to exp. and SEG usually reports early enough (I haven't looked up the date yet) to beat op exp. day so your risk holding to exp. increases...watch all storage co's closely and if you see a pattern of upgrades industry wide or any positive pre announcement you'll know where this group is headed because these stocks historically travel in a pack and SEG will be right near the top...JMHO
