MB,

An interesting note (at least to me <g>) about the compaq PC game. I hate windows 3.1, 95,98. They are astable due to memory leaks. NT is not. I have a 4550 presario. Planning to go to an NT operating system. Call compaq to make sure that NT has all the drivers or, that compaq will provide or assist me in finding the drivers.

Compaq response: We know NT is better, that it is stable. However, we sold this machine to you for home use, hence, we do not support drivers for NT for this platform....Gotya!

We would be happy to sell you an NT machine.

My response: Go to hell! I will find the drivers by going to the OEM's if I can....I will never for my home or office do business with you again.

Steve

What do you think of this:

smartmoney.com

The guy has beaten S&P for four years in a row, including 1998.
Plus he calls himself a value investor.

Yesterday I was watching CNN Moneyline and it was mentioned that
the average return for most mutual funds this year is just

5-6 % while S&P is up almost 20 %.

I have an IRA account with MFS mutual fund. What is your take
on John Ballen and his mutual fund company.

I have been reading your posts since you were on ATMEL thread.
I highly regard your opinion.

Thanks

Nayan

I sure hope you bears step up and try and buy the dip this time. Maybe not the dip today but in January before the market zooms up another 20%.

Aren't you guys tired of the market spanking you on GTW, MU, CPQ, etc...? Isn't it time to surrender to the manic PC players and look at other companies to play puts on? A new market psychology is in place that will keep this bull market alive for years.

And Alan Greenspam just gave consumers 10% more pocket change this year to buy the dips and to clean out the PC related inventory at Best Buy and CompUsa stores. MB, have you visited these stores lately? Consumers are emptying the shelves!
