Thief 2? Quite Likely

Looking Glass assumes Thief:
The Dark Project will get a
sequel.

December 10, 1998 18:00

Looking Glass' Thief: The Dark Project is a pretty unusual first person
shooter; rather than blowing up everything in sight, your goal is to
stealthily make your way through the fantasy environments and steal
things. Pretty cool, eh?

Cool enough for a lot of people to want a sequel, and in an Internet chat
room last night, Looking Glass' Tom Leonard spilled the beans about a
sequel.

"We are proceeding with the assumption that there will be a Thief 2, "
Leonard is reported to have remarked.

This news comes from a fan site dedicated to Looking Glass's games.
Speculation is that a Thief 2 will use the Shock engine, the modified
version of the Dark Engine being used for System Shock 2.
