I still think that the margin rules are dense, and that if your interpretation differs from MBT's, guess whose will prevail. So my only rules are:

Don't trade a position you held overnite and liquidated earlier in the day.

Rely on the acctinfo2 screen. If the various entries add up to a positive number, you'll be okay.

Sort of belt and suspenders.
