Jim -
yes, and when Intel screened the chips to pick the small percentage of 'good' ones, CPQ seemed to be getting the lion's share. I don't particularly like the way Intel treats the OEMs and I think Dell should have gotten a lot more for their steadfast loyalty. I hope Dell wakes up and plays a little harder with Intel. Intel has used every excuse to explain why at the end of the day CPQ gets the goldmine and Dell gets the shaft. Dell could change all of that by giving Intel a shot across the bow.

I have worked with Intel a number of times and although they are a smart bunch of guys, their idea of business relationships reads like a cross between Machiavelli and the godfather. This is one relationship where nice guys finish last. Dell has the clout to drive a better arrangement and I would like to see them leverage it. They have made some progress in this area this year but need to do more.
