It could be argued that Germany is biethnic as well. Bavarians, and the rest of'em :-D
Austrians (my ancestors) and Bavarians share a sense of kinship, and their respective dialects (which are incomprehensible to someone trained in High German) are nearly superimposable. Maybe the Central European equivalent of... Texans?
