It is a constitutional issue not a popularity contest. This is not some parliamentarian vote-of-confidence as the imperialist liberals would prefer it. It is a legal proceeding regarding the checks and balances set forth in the Constitution. The Executive branch has lied under oath, undermining the laws and authority of the Judicial branch. It is Congress' obligation to impeach the Executive to address the violation(s) in question. He should be tried and Congress will decide whether lying under oath is more important than Executive authority and privelidge.

Truth before the law is the foundation of our judicial system. Do you honestly believe any court can impose justice without having the truth?

No truth, no justice.

The Clown Must Go Down.

<<If the numbers favored them (that is, if 65% of the public wanted to continue with impeachment proceedings), they would righteously cite the rights of the majority. Faced with the fact that they are in the minority, they have to fall back on the contention of absolute righteousness independent of the number of votes involved.>>

"Right on" Tommaso, look at what happened in Minnesota. A candidate that said something like:" she should spend more time at the White House because bad things happen when she isn't there" That candidate using straight forward logic with fairness is now the governor.
