Almost forgot that that thread is still there ;-)

Well, on SI I see less and less posts bluntly stating that 'Y2k will be a non-event, or is a hoax of the IT industry or similar'.

Awareness in terms of a critical mass of SI members being on an Edwards 3 or more is a different thing: that would be an indication of small investors taking action (selling their stocks; going short etc).

No signs of that is to be seen (e.g. look at the 'market gems' or the 'tokiocafe' thread; almost no y2k discussion in that direction. But those are traders forums; with a typical trading horizon of a couple of days max.
So look out for discussions on those threads; warnings of stock market crashes on those threads are a significant indication for me).
