Ted- I know you don't make CNBC policy, but as high profile CNBC access here, maybe at SOME point, you could facilitate this issue getting to your program director / ad board? Trust me, if Gallup ever calls as the infamous Audi robot commercial comes on, the show that all of the street (and much of the neighborhood) watches religiously would be a ratings ghost. I wonder if one could somehow measure the nationwide synchronous collective flux in infrared wireless activity this commercial clearly evokes? "..Most of the time I reach for the clicker to hit the mute button for CNBC's commercials, particularly the Tel Aviv cab ad and most definitely those crash dummies from Audi.." - occasional guest host James Cramer, from Jan 21st: fnews.yahoo.com (This column changes daily, so anyone not seeing this on the 21st, take my word for it.) BTW, at the first Pavlovian door creak sounds, I immediately turn CNBC off - and often don't click it back on for several minutes or longer. I'd hate to have paid for advertising that FOLLOWS this irritating commercial! However, I DO like the new Kinkos commercials, and the First Unions are visual masterpieces IMO (about the only time I actually look up). The FedEx poolguy commercial REALLY cracks me up. I wanna see that fedex actor in a movie - whadda character face! More on commercials from Cramer: "..When you talk to people who watch CNBC all day-- as every trader does -- it won't be long before people talk about Dan and Phil, the two guys worried about what to tell management about their Web commerce strategy. I thought the company couldn't outdo this ad, until I saw the one entitled "Who called this meeting?" about the wasted gathering. But the new one, the one about the mean Wall Street guy being taken to the cleaners by some young Net head in the middle of the desert, takes the cake..." and "..But when I see that guy in the limo talking about the teenage clothing store at 59th and Madison, I jam that volume button up to the max and laugh out loud..."
