Well, I think jla often has interesting things to say. Certainly he spends a good deal of time on idiot duty here, slapping around the likes of Dipy, 247365 and the handful of ditsy liberal womyn who happen to flit around here every so often; but I find even this terribly interesting. (grin) As for bp, it seems she recognizes your misuse of Barr's circumstances and has rejected it. I haven't been able to keep up with the thread but apparently you have informed us that Bob Barr spoke at a meeting sponsored by some racist group or another. Of course on the surface I think this despicable, but my skepticism of the press compels me to reserve final judgement until such a time as more facts become available. This is all really quite irrelevant to the issue of impeaching Clinton, and used amidst an overall argument concerning impeachment, amounts to nothing more than an ad hominem. This is not to make light of Barr's actions, and if he did what you suggest then I hope he is hammered until he dies. But BARR should be hammered. He should not be used to hammer Republicans or the impeachment proceedings. You have here used Barr fallaciously, and this in addition to other of your submissions (such as that trash written by the ignorant “religious” guy in New York who used consummate ignorance to try and slam the RR), makes you appear quite the Liberal Propagandist. If Barr supports racists, then in my opinion, he should fry. Nevertheless, by the same principle that I would condemn Barr, I must condemn Bill Clinton. I already know Clinton is a liar and a cheat. I already know he has attempted to deny the rights of other Americans, this even in our courts. I cannot face my children, looking them in the eye while declaring a willingness to be led by a man who has openly lied to me and to my judicial system. I cannot and will never do this. Whatever happens to Clinton, I have already rejected him as my leader. I cannot yet reject Barr because thus far I have only heard an allegation given me via an institution that has lost a great deal of credibility in my mind.
