Well....

This is getting old, fast! I think I have earned th "bonehead of the year" award several times over today...after wrestling my HD out of the old system (way cramped- shoulda pulled the drive cage out, but hey, that woulda been smart), it loaded up great in the new sys.

So then I went to get that Navigator 4.5 15 meg gem...wellllll, when I downloaded it, I used this new "smart loader" thing. Well, what I didn't know was that "smart" loader was "Smart" enough to save my file on the C: drive instead of my usual F:, so's I had to unplug the HD, put it back in the old sys, copy files...and on and on...

Modem isn't working yet for some reason. Can't figure out what the problem could be. I'll yank it and reinstall later...Sound Blaster Live sounds great, though I haven't tried it in any games yet :) Loaded Q2, but I don't think the MiniGL works...will go to Bills to see what everyone suggests...Perhaps Chip has a suggestion?

Back to work...

Jim,

I read the messages on this board because I own stock in this company and I find alot of the discussions illuminating. When I have concerns about the company I post them. Not to try and manipulate the stock price which I really doubt any of us here could do, but instead to try and solicit other peoples opinions on these issues. I fail to see how expressing concerns about a company makes you a non-investor. I am interested in hearing from anyone involved in this stock, long or short, as long as they can explain the reasoning behind their current position. By understanding different peoples views and takes on a subject, I feel I have a better chance to make an informed decision.

Personally I think 3DFX has done alot of things very well. I also think that there are some areas where they have room for improvement and there are some areas where they are becoming vulnerable. Studies have shown that high achieving people desire feedback, why should high achieving companies be any different?

What I have found interesting about this board is that when the stock price was going down people were still positive about the TDFX future and still long. Now the stock price has been creeping up and people are getting pessimistic.

What's the scoop. Somebody's buying and / or covering or we would no have gone from $8 back to $16.
