Kevin,

All of us on this thread are aware of every point you stated in your post. This thread is "civil" compared to the dellhead thread. WE do not take joy in seeing the DELL stock price go down. The dellheads see this as CPQ vs DELL, ITS NOT!
Do us a favor, try posting your same message on the DELL thread, just switch the names of CPQ and DELL, see how they respond......
thats an interesting proposition, is it not?

Kevin, welcome to the thread. I own 1,000 shares of Dell and bought 1,000 for my mother also. I never want to see anyone's stock go down, and have never shorted a stock. I do like to bring the Dellheads down to earth every so often though.
You say you got out of CPQ after "the fiasco." Too bad, that was the time to be buying.

Robbie

Kevin - Sounds like you are 'barking up the wrong thread'. If you ACTUALLY read the Dell thread as you say, then you must know that Mohan and several others spend a good bit of their time posting articles and *comments* bashing CPQ, VARS, etc. etc. Why don't you swing over their right now, he just added a couple more today. This thread is much more civil. As for CPQ's stellar gains and expectations, it is Dell that has much higher expectations. CPQ has just recently passed last years highs, so there have been no stellar gains over the past year, unless you traded the stock. I would say the Dell thread takes much greater *joy* as you say in knocking CPQ than vice versa. You are way off base here.

John

PS - Didn't you just read Kelley's post about 'impeaching Pfeiffer'?? Show me a bunch of equivalent garbage posting by CPQ regulars on the Dell thread and maybe you might earn some credibility over here...
