no it does not freeze my machine. it freezes program. But a crt-atl-delete allows me to shut it down. At which time, I manually give a metastock update by re-entering. It has happened about 3 times in the last month or so. I am running about 10 betas and a mass of programs. Setup or conflict may be problem. Decision not to move to the better program seems to be yours. I could go back to the version you have. I won't.

Ken, This is where I get even more confused. I was under the impression that the final version of the update was ready for distribution. My personality just does not lent itself to being a beta tester. I am sure that many people love having the additional features early, but to me it is just not worth the fact that you never know if the problems that you might experience are caused by something that you do or by the program. I have joined the "OneList" mailing. I think that it was a great idea that Sean had in setting up the list. --- webb blackman ---
