Sam, I too have noticed, with some astonishment, the media's very limited coverage of the specifics of the impeachment debate. (I am referring to the print media; C-Span television and C-span radio have covered the debate end-to-end.)

Although I have been listening to the debate on radio, there still have been whole hunks that I missed. I thought the newspapers (at least The New York Times and The Washington Post) would print at least abbreviated transcripts of the debate, so that I could fill in the gaps. No such luck.

It is a pity, because although much of the debate has been just hot air, there have also been some very interesting discussions of a number of very subtle, but important points.

Maybe the papers are waiting for Sunday? Waiting for the full debate to be over before they publish at least key passages? And we need, I think, some dispassionate analysis of conflicting positions on each of the articles of impeachment.

Ah, well, let's wait and see.
