The technology is what they are reporting on so they only report about that. They could care less who does it. The reason GERN exploded during the release of their news was because as soon as the bell rang and trading ended the one day GERN started to release reports every hour about their technology and how it could prolong life etc. There must have been 5-10 articles that popped up on YAHOO news before the bell rang the next day. ASTM didn't do a thing. The show aired and no one but the people already in the stock knew that this is what ASTM does. Thus the selloff. ASTM might have it's day again but I prefer my CEGE stock over it. Much more promise in it. They have so many patents on Gene therapy and are close to a lot of break throughs. They have so many chances to hit it big and it's not 5 or 10 years away. CEGE will be the big winner in this area.

What is being reported on now, is the subject matter at hand, how umbilical cord blood can be used in bone marrow transplant. The story is new and news entities are currently just reporting the facts. As soon as these guys start digging to find out what is beneath the surface of this, i.e. how is this actually done and who is going to do it then you will start seeing names and a lot more in depth reporting. I don't think this is simply going to be a flash and then gone. This is something that could significantly affect the well being of millions of people around the world.
