ThinPrep was highlighted in a piece on Women's Healthcare tonight on NBC's Evening News. It was, IMO, a balanced piece with a doctor from Vanderbilt in essence saying the jury was still out as to whether ThinPrep was cost effective (suggesting the add'l cost of ThinPrep v. the conventional pap could be better spent on getting women who don't currently receive a pap yearly to do so) and a women who reads Paps strongly suggesting that without ThinPrep her own cervical cancer would not have been detected in time. It was a powerful piece, albeit short, that should help CYTC's stock price tomorrow. It should have left no question in the viewer's mind that ThinPrep was SUPERIOR to the conventional Pap. I doubt if many enlightened women would choose a conventional pap for fifteen or twenty dollars less over ThinPrep. If they did, I would conclude they were in a word, stupid.

This stock has done very nicely with all the exposure over the past couple of weeks. So what does the future hold for this one as we move thru earnings? Does anyone out there have a handle on what earnings may come in at? Will they beat estimates or come in just at estimates? It would be great if we beat with all the exposure it could really pop. What does the board think will be the next major pieces of news that will move the stock to the next level?

In addition, do we have any estimates as to what is "fair value" on this stock? Are we undervalued? What does the chart say?

Sorry for all the questions but I am new to the stock.

Mike

Cytc has so far been a speculative pick. It has gyrated in all directions and the market has not been able to put a price tag on it. It seems that it is now being recognized as a potential value player in the industry. I have taken my profits and will wait to see where it goes from here. If it beats 30, I will consider coming back in.
