Mmm, actually, OFX incorporates or subsumes Gold. Like the old Prego spaghetti sauce commercials, "It's in there".

My understanding is that OFX is a standard markup language of financial exchange on the Internet, just like HTML used for building Web pages. If memory serves me right, OFX and HTML are two of many subsets a more comprehensive language, kind of siblings. Can't recall that acronym from the top of my head.
A polite word "merge" was used when it was decided to dump Gold Standard in favor of OFX, but there was not realy much to merge/dump at the time. Hardly a few pilots were running. BTW, merger was supposed to be completed by August and has never happened.

Hope someone more knowlegeable will correct me if I am wrong.
