SDC seems to be solid, ranked 2 in its sector, no significant debt, growth, but in an industry plagued with downgrades and pricing errosion world wide.

The US dollar exchange rate, world recovery, Chavez politics with OPEC and so many other unsettled variables make this a play on oil prices and consolidation in the oil services industry more than a play on the company itself. Within this sector I think its a good bet.

Goodluck, I'm in at 11 3/4 looking for an exit at 17 1/2 hopefully by Spring.

Jim

T, It was the takeover by Kuwaiti Petroleum that caused the insider options trading. The guys in the know at Santa Fe went down to the floor and bought far out of the money call options on the stock. Since they were paying double or triple Black-Scholes fair value, the floor sold them all they wanted. Then the deal was announced and calls that had been sold by the floor for 1/4 to 1/2 a point were suddenly at 25-30.

I noticed that they didn't mention this incident in the history. -g-
