Quincenera (sp?) hispanic 15th birthday thing. As for the Pleasanton party- I think it is quite possible the mother did not know ahead of time. How would the other girls know if the mother knew? Pleasanton is not particularly wild, but it is extremely affluent. And the children there (in general) have WAY too much money and far too little parental supervision. What were these girls doing out so late, seeing as how they were so very young? The girls knew exactly what they were doing, and, imo, very little harm was done. I am sure 50-70% of these girls are out having sex with boyfriends when they aren't at parties, so that would make this party kind of tame wouldn't it? The mother was stupid, and never should have allowed the party, but as for criminal behavior? I don't think so. But there isn't a lot of real criminal behavior in Pleasanton so this is the best they can do. The person I feel really sorry for is the stripper.
