Re Price of Oil FWIW, I think lower oil prices will bring Mexico and Venezuela to their knees, which together with a worsening of Brazil's problems will directly and seriously impact the US economy. However, I am not sure of the average cost of production in both countries, so I can't be more specific. John

I don't buy the labor shortage..in ten or fifteen years when baby boomers start retiring if they can..then maybe a labor shortage but probably then US will allow a lot more future citizens as it did way in past..(we are all immigrants except for the native Indians..although some were dragged here against their will) Technology,now especially the internet, and all these mergers and multinationals and telecommunicating capabilities are creating less jobs down the road and our industries(non service sector because I think they haven't figured out yet how to do that :-) are getting creamed by high dollar and multinationals using offshore facilities to increase more profits and screwing the american workers .. I just have a feeling that soon the government will start pushing gold secretly to prevent deflationary mentality from spreading unless SE Asia can recover faster than a lot think and create a new bull market in commodities..then gold will be the leading indicator? ps..all this impeachment nonsense..I don't buy that they are going to kick him out..just totally blot out any good that he has done.. He is a symbol of the age..he reflects just so very many people.. just even read this thread and see how much self interest reigns.. bobby
