Thanks for the article. If CPQ pays 6-10% to the VARs for sending them customers they have to choose higher prices or lower margins. If the former-good for DELL, if the latter-bad for CPQ. Either way I think I will keep my DELL.

Comparison of DELL XPS-R with Prosignia 330

This is a low price point comparison for the CPQ direct desktops.
The units are configured almost the same:

CPQ- $2,099

DELL $1,899

Price differential 11.3% in DELL's favor.
